Mihkel Tammo

Vocation of leadership lives with me from teenage years. As a leader or top manager I have worked in 4 different fields.

  • In private sector – Industry landscape (Estanc and Tammer)
  • I am a founder of a sustainability movement/non profit called GreenTiger
  • I have worked in public sector as a director of trade and innovation center for Estonian Enterprise
  • I have been head of entrepreneurship in our national university

Throughout my professional career I have been spokesperson in topics such as leadership, sustainability and social development. Over last 10 years I’ve been on stage as public speaker for more than 300 times. It includes inspirational talks at various companies, lectures at all major universities, and giving keynotes at both domestic and international conferences.

I’ve been working as a mentor for more than 7 years and during that time have worked with tens of different organisations.

Time to create Hearth arrived due to the fact that by now I feel like I’ve experienced and gone through great number of different scenarios and noticed how my desire to share what I’ve learned has grown into strong desire.

Kristjan Peäske

I have been creating domestic hospitality landscape for more than 20 years and today I stand behind 3 Michelin acknowledged restaurants. For me hospitality never begins only with the guest but from people who are creating the experiences. If the team feels good, it gives naturally birth to a high quality experience and a feeling that the guest will remember.

As a leader and person I believe that true quality does not stem from skills and standards, but from growing as a person – increased presence, inner clarity and the ability to make others around you feel safe.  So to me the task of leadership is to create healthy culture and transparency where people can grow, take responsibility and to contribute meaningfully. That to me is the essence of leadership.

Erkki Vedder

Introduction by Liina, Erkki’s wife:
„Erkki’s uniqueness to me is that he is an estonian man who actually puts in constant effort to grow and to become better person and better husband!“

The most important guiding principle about Hearth to me is “taking off the masks”. Normally people and especially leaders don’t have places in their lives where they can openly share and discuss what’s on their hearts. Hearth is one of those places.

My own background is diverse. I’ve worked at social projects, have participated at one of biggest domestic innovation stories (E-residency), seen both public and private sector from inside. Many of them have been tied to technology and software development. I have had contact with tens of domestic organisations and leaders that has given quite well educated impression of different organisational cultures and minds of their leaders.  

On top of that the dearest topic for me is self-development.  Both as a practitioner myself but since 2013 also as a coach.  In addition to multi-year programme completion that earned me the certification of Integral Master Coach I have completed tens of additional courses in the field of psychology. As a coach I have worked with more than 250 people.

During this whole time the topic of human development and it’s support hasn’t lost even the tiniest part of the appeal to me. It is still as interesting as it was at the first day. It is a privilege for me to support leaders at their self-development journies at Hearth.
